Angry

I am angry. I am angry at all the adults that were there. I am angry at all the adults that watched. I am angry at all the adults that should have looked after my well being.

I am angry. I am angry at all the adults that should have held the other adults accountable. I am angry at all the adults that allowed this child to be treated as an adult. I am angry at all the adults that allowed this child to grow up before she had to.

I am angry. I am angry at all the adults that didn’t protect me. I am angry at all the adults that don’t protect me. I am angry at my grandfathers, my grandmothers, my mother, my father, my aunts, my uncles.

And most of all, I am angry at all of the adults because despite their flaws and disregard for me, all I want to do is help, love & protect them. All of them. Every. Last. One.
