Marian House Fundraising

It's my Birthday Month! Every year I want to celebrate myself by raising money for my organization and for a cause of my choice. This year the organization we would like to support is the Marian House. I was introduced to this organization, when I did a walk in support of one of my coworkers. The passion and pride in which Demetria speaks about her Mom and Marian House (MH) is inspiring.

According to their site, The Marian House "is a holistic, healing community for women and their children who are in need of housing and rehabilitative services. They provide a safe, sober, and loving environment that challenges women to respect and love themselves, confront emotional and socioeconomic barriers, and transition to stable and independent lives."

Demetria's Mom was a community member of MH. When I learned that she lost her life to suicide, I felt an even stronger passion to walk in her honor alongside her loved ones. This year, I will be walking again and raising money to support the MH mission, vision, and values.
